Queen & Cotton sells Charlotte T-shirts, and one of its best-known designs is the Exit 3A sign off I-277. The apparel and art brand has a store at 715 E. 36th St. in NoDa, Charlotte, inside the Centro NoDa development.
Travis Blain and Tal Benamor are married and started the brand in 2021. They sold at local markets, including NoDaHood Market and Front Porch Sundays, and kept shelves at Charlotte Collective in South End. The NoDa store, which opened April 5, 2025, was their first.
Blain is an artist and graphic designer. His designs draw on West Coast surf and skate culture, Queen City pop culture, sports and the local brewery scene. The site’s tagline is “West Coast Vibes x Charlotte Streetwear,” and it says the designs come from a “secret lab in NoDa.”
