Stash Pad Vintage

Stash Pad Vintage

Stash Pad calls itself a rock n roll boutique, and the racks run from the 1940s to the 1990s.

Corrie Throckmorton has been selling vintage online since 2014, and she opened the shop in Plaza Midwood in January 2015 before moving it to Monroe Road, next to Lupie's Café. The space is small, but customers keep pointing out how much is packed into it. Vintage dresses, rock tees, men's denim, handbags, shoes, ties, sunglasses, and jewelry share the room with costume rentals and a few kitschy housewares. One reviewer was surprised by how many pieces came from the '60s and '70s, since so many vintage shops start at the '80s.

It's also the place for the dramatic stuff: custom wigs, makeup by appointment, and specialty costumes. The men's side gets real attention, which isn't always the case in vintage. One reviewer says it's pet-friendly, with a good soundtrack.

The shop welcomes all walks of life to celebrate love, equality, and freedom of expression, and buying vintage keeps clothes built to last out of the landfill.
