NoDa Brewing Company

On Tuesdays at NoDa Brewing Company, your pint comes with a token. You drop it into one of four jars on the Impact Wall, each for a local nonprofit, and by the end of the year the totals go to the charities, with the biggest earning a match from the brewery of up to $500.

That’s the “poured with purpose” part of NoDa’s motto, and it’s how a Charlotte brewery thinks about what a taproom is for. Suzie and Todd Ford started the company in 2011 with head brewer Chad Henderson, after a shared passion for home brewing. They’ve grown to a taproom and beer garden at 150 W 32nd St. and a bar in the airport at Concourse A. The causes on the wall: free mammograms for women through Project Pink, LGBTQ+ youth at Time Out Youth, survivors at Safe Alliance, and animals at the Humane Society of Charlotte.
