It's a Tex-Mex bar on Monroe Road in Charlotte, on the same stretch as Lupie's Café and Stash Pad. The kitchen turns out Southwestern burritos, nachos, tacos, quesadillas, and the Tipsy Sizzler, a flour tortilla stuffed with grilled peppers, onions, slaw, and plantains. There are vegetarian options, a full bar, and a kids' menu item called the Lil Burro. Most of the menu is simple, cheap, and made for sharing.
The room does the rest. The decor is part saloon and part cantina, and there's outdoor seating and live music. Reviewers praise the atmosphere and the friendly crowd, and note that it's a good place to bring kids during the day.
