The Chai Window is a tea bar inside Twenty Two West, a studio and storefront at 2338 The Plaza in Plaza Midwood, Charlotte.
The chai is made in house from whole spices, with oat milk and a little coconut sugar. The page calls the space a “sip and shop” experience, so you can order a cup and then look at what the studio makes. Twenty Two West makes porcelain clay and natural fiber jewelry and home décor, including rings, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, wall pieces and table-top pieces.
The founder, Mary, moved the studio into a former home when the old space got too small. She says she felt a connection to the building right away. The studio also runs workshops, including a Bracelet Bar where you design your own bracelet bundle. Local businesses can apply to host popups at the Chai Window.
The store is open Wednesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. There is parking in the back.
