The Lost Plot (Formerly the Plot Twist)

At The Lost Plot, you pick a flavor and then decide whether you want it as a coffee drink, a cocktail or a mocktail. The bar is at 1518 Lyon Court in Plaza Midwood, Charlotte. It used to be called Plot Twist.

The menu is built on eight flavor profiles. The ube coconut, for example, comes as an ube coconut matcha with cold foam, or as a cocktail with prosecco, coconut rum, house-made ube syrup and sparkling water.

The space is a former auto shop. It seats 50 inside, with a dog-friendly patio for 30 more, and a rotary phone in the lounge where callers can leave anonymous gossip or complaints. Nikki Velazquez and Eric Flanigan own it. Velazquez came up with the concept, and she calls it a personal project. Artist Carla Garrison-Mattos painted the mural outside.

The bar sits behind Trope Bookshop and Wiloe Home & Gift, on a block of independent businesses. It opened in May 2026 and changed its name in September after a trademark letter. It is open.
